Last week, on Friday, Eagles performed the Makaton signs for the song ‘This is Me’ from the movie ‘The Greatest Showman’ in assembly. We felt happy and proud of ourselves and everyone said we did really well J
On Monday, we did some Literacy; we are working on reading words and pictures to show our understanding. Then, some of us did some Jabadao, and we worked as a team for each song. Some of us went to soft play and did an obstacle course, which tired us out!
In the afternoon, we broke in to groups; one group was making pom poms for a rug that we are creating for the common room; another group did some gardening- weeding, watering and sweeping. The final group did some nurture work on feelings and public and private behaviours.
On Tuesday, we made burgers, peas and potato chips (see picture). We made a fruit salad and a shortbread biscuit for pudding. We chopped up onion and crushed garlic and then cooked the mince, adding breadcrumbs too. We had cheese on our burgers, they tasted great! For the fruit salad we cut up kiwi, pineapple, apples, strawberries, raspberries, peaches and bananas. For the shortbread, we creamed the butter, adding sugar and flour to make it in to a ball and then we sliced it up and put it in the oven. The fruit salad tasted healthy and the shortbread tasted good!
In Forest School, we put up a big tent! We could stand up in it! It was fun! We saw two spiders! AHHHHHHH!!!
Today in Maths, we were halving and doubling numbers and some of us were working on fractions, halves and quarters.
That’s all for this week! We are looking forward to Sports Day next Thursday
